Kevin Field Trio
Pianist and composer Kevin Field returns to CJC, this time in a trio format. Already a well-known name to jazz audiences, Kevin has performed around the world including concerts in the UK, USA, China and Australia.
He has collaborated with some of the top names in jazz and released several albums on prestigious labels such as Warner Music and Timezone. He is much in demand as a pianist having featured on over 40 albums of other jazz artists.
Kevin’s distinctive and innovative approach to jazz harmony is probably the most recognisable element in his playing and compositions. His forthcoming new album in collaboration with drummer Antonio Sanchez and bassist Richard Hammond continues his ongoing interest and development of bi-tonal harmonic concepts.
For this concert Kevin will be joined by two well-known jazz colleagues who are very much in demand as a rhythm section - Mostyn Cole on bass and Stephen Thomas on drums.
