Michael Gianan is a guitarist and composer based in Auckland, New Zealand making his name in playing alongside a myriad of bands and artists in NZ. Having finished his honours study in 2019, Gianan is back at CJC after two years since his last outing as leader!
Wouldand is an amalgamation of Gianan’s latest work - adventurous, sensitive (but strong), original compositions set to catch ears and perhaps, hearts. Joined by some of NZ's finest, Wouldland is not to be missed!

Presented in association with the Wahine in Jazz collective, Cold-Flame is the brainchild of Wyn Leng, a young and rising vocalist and singer-songwriter who moved to Aotearoa from China in 2021. She brings an array of original compositions inspired by other art forms like poetry, paintings, and films, with Iggy Nama Ruci, Michael Nash, Tyler Diprose and Max Crook.

ARIA-nominated ALLY unites some of Australia’s leading jazz, Afro-Latin and world music artists moving between traditional Afro-Peruvian festejo and landó, Cuban son and rumba, Andalusian tangos and bulerías and contemporary jazz inspired original compositions. Featuring saxophonist Gai Bryant, legendary trombonist James Greening, pianist Ed Goyer, Peruvian percussion master Giorgio Rojas and bassist Dave Quinn.
