Dixon Nacey
Accomplished jazz guitarist Dixon Nacey (Best Jazz Artist Tui, 2020) presents a night of exhilarating collaborations that trace his musical journey over the past two decades. The performance will feature a topline quintet and includes newly penned compositions from the award winning 'Edge of Chaos' album. One of New Zealand's busiest guitarists, Nacey is most often seen in a sideman role supporting many NZ jazz and pop artists throughout his 25+ years on the scene.
This show will see Nacey running out his own tunes; relishing the opportunity to lead a blazing-hot band through music that nods to the contemporary, challenging listener and player with intensity and dynamic.
