RNZ will broadcast a live recording of Jonathan Crayford at CJC, made in December 2021.

Featuring Jonathan Crayford’s original compositions, accompanied by Cam McArthur & Ron Samsom, the recording will play on MusicAlive, RNZ Concert, 8pm on Friday 25 March.

It will also be available online for later listening via the music alive page.

Bill Liu is an emerging guitarist and composer currently completing his jazz studies at the University of Auckland. For this performance, Bill presents a new project centred around his original compositions, drawing inspiration from modern jazz figures such as Wayne Shorter and Joe Henderson. Bill is joined by Lucas Kewell on piano (recently back from his studies in Switzerland), Wil Goodinson on upright bass, and introduces drummer ZB Wu, from Shanghai.
