2019 Jazz Tui Award winners return to CJC

GRG67 is Roger Manins, Mostyn Cole, Tristan Deck and Michael Howell. They have been rehearsing together for a good 6 years or so. However, they are still rough. Rough – but good.

There is a real joy in their music , virtuosity when needed, quirky tunes, great musical communication and lots of energy. You will be interested because they are interested.

GRG67's first album The Thing won the TUI award for best NZ jazz album 2019.

The band features the music of Manins, Howell, Cole and GRG67 and it will be their first CJC performance since the infamous Thirsty Dog gig some time back...

Presented in association with the Wahine in Jazz collective, Cold-Flame is the brainchild of Wyn Leng, a young and rising vocalist and singer-songwriter who moved to Aotearoa from China in 2021. She brings an array of original compositions inspired by other art forms like poetry, paintings, and films, with Iggy Nama Ruci, Michael Nash, Tyler Diprose and Max Crook.
