Veteran NZ jazz drummer Mark Lockett teams up with 2018 ‘Best Jazz Artist’ Tui Award winner Umar Zakaria on bass and guitarist Brad Kang, an alumni of the Grammy-winning University of North Texas One O’Clock Lab Band.
The triple-threat trio presents a collection of originals from their various groups re-imagined for the guitar-bass-drums setting, featuring the premiere of a new original suite ‘Nusantara Sun’ - inspired by the landscape of the Malay Archipelago in Southeast Asia.
