Daniel Cho Quintet

Daniel Cho is currently half way done with his Honours Degree in the University of Auckland after completing his Bachelor of Music in Jazz Performance. Majoring in saxophone, he strives to find his own sound to express emotions and ideas that are characteristic of him. Currently Daniel is fixated in the spiritual contexts that surround him. As a Christian from birth, his writing and playing reflect his ideas and thoughts on the matter even though lyrics are non-existent.

Leonardo Coghini Quartet

Leonardo’s passion for music began at an early age with him tinkering on his grandmother’s piano on weekend visits. He was selected in the National Youth Jazz Orchestra for five consecutive years and played in various small and large ensembles that competed in and won multiple awards in national jazz competitions. He has since worked with and recorded with artists such as: Dame Malvina Major, Drax Project, Six60, Michael Houston and the Jazz at lincoln Center Orchestra with Wynton Marsalis. He can often be found playing in local venues on weekends and enjoys being involved in the Wellington music scene. Leonardo is now in his second year of studying a Bachelor of music degree, majoring in jazz performance, at Victoria University of Wellington.

He will be playing a selection of original compositions and loved standards. His band is made up of fellow New Zealand School of Music students from Wellington with Louisa Williamson (Tenor), Zane Hawkins (Bass) and Jeremy Richardson (Drums).
