EXPLODING RAINBOW ORCHESTRA

Exploding Rainbow Orchestra, led by Joshua Worthington-Church (bassist and maverick), seeks to find new contexts for improvising and exploration inspired as much by psychedelia as the rich history of jazz. Swirling soundscapes provide backdrop for unbridled expression by some of the finest musicians Auckland (and indeed the world) has to offer.

Imagine an rainbow, and then imagine it exploding. And then imagine that being orchestrated. Pretty good, right?

EQUITABLE GROOVES

Misha Kourkov is an up-and-comer, fresh to the Auckland music scene. Misha is the saxophone player for Olivier Holland's Jazz Attack. As a solid unit Jazz Attack has cut through Auckland music scene playing at all the hot spots within a short amount of time. Misha's latest project, Equitable Grooves, blends a variety of genres together to make a spicy melting pot of music. With influences from Tigran Hamasyan to Roger Manins, this is not a band to be missed!
