New York born trumpet player Marc Osterer fuses traditional jazz with technical virtuosity. His style is the result of having lived in many countries and playing different types of music. One can expect jazz standards, original compositions, and more, presented with a unique stage presence.
Marc Osterer began playing trumpet at age 5 in his hometown of New York City, where he received an education in jazz, classical, and commercial styles in prestigious conservatories including Manhattan School of Music. As a professional musician he has performed on Broadway shows, jazz clubs such as Birdland and Jazz at Lincoln
Center, the Mexico City Philharmonic (where he spent 5 years as Principal Trumpet), and the Salzburg Festival.
Also well versed in composition, orchestration, and studio production, he recorded his first solo jazz album in 2014 entitled InterView. Marc Osterer currently lives in Vienna, Austria, but spends much of his time on tour with the award winning Parov Stelar band and as a soloist and educator.
